Recent Developments in the Law – Lakisha Woods

Lakisha will share key developments in labor and employment law of interest to business owners, managers and human resource professionals.

OSHA Update – Mark Kittaka 

Mark will discuss recent OSHA developments including revisions to the Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP); COVID-19 rulemaking; OSHA’s revival of rule allowing union presence for inspection of non-union facilities; changes in instance-by-instance citation policy; combustible dust NEP; and other rulemaking and interpretations.

Restrictive Covenants and Recent Developments – Jason Clagg

Jason will focus on recent actions by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that invalidate non-compete agreements. He will also review the FTC’s proposed rulemaking to limit non-compete agreements and recent state law developments related to non-compete agreements.

NLRB Update – Adam Bartrom

Adam will review recent developments with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), as well as provide a preview of decisions to come with the Democratic majority on the NLRB.

Employee Benefits Update – Michael Nader

Mike will discuss recent developments and rulemaking affecting ERISA plans.

Employee Agreements Update – Mark Scudder

Mark will cover recent federal legislation limiting the use of non-disclosure and non-disparagement agreements, as well as a new law limiting the use of arbitration to resolve certain harassment claims.

Wage and Hour Update – Kathleen Anderson

Kathleen will review recent developments in wage and hour law, including Department of Labor appointments, enforcement initiatives and recent case law.
