Legal Primer For Small-Business Owners: A Practical Understanding of Intellectual Property

In our fourth year of this program, the panel will highlight basic legal issues and provide essential legal knowledge specifically related to the proper protection and enforcement of intellectual property (IP), as necessary for small businesses and startups to thrive.
Specifically, this session will discuss the practical considerations of a small-business owner or entrepreneur in the case study context of three diverse business models to identify important nuances and rules of IP law.
This program is designed to inform and empower startup and small-business owners to build their business acumen by providing educational tools and resources about the specialized yet broad practice area of IP law, while also understanding why and when legal representation is warranted.
This session marks the second in a series for 2025. As details are finalized, we will send invitations to future programming.
