Atlanta Real Estate Momentum Grows as Five-Lawyer Team Joins Barnes & Thornburg

ATLANTA (July 30, 2025) — As real estate activity accelerates across the Southeast, Barnes & Thornburg expands its regional capabilities with the arrival of an Atlanta-based five-person team focused on high-value real estate transactions.

Partners Michael Henson and Daniel Noice — along with associates Joseph Guardino, Olivia Pounds and Rebecca Griffith — bring their wide-ranging experience advising investors, developers and property owners on complex deals across asset classes to the firm’s clients both regionally in Georgia and at the national level.

These five attorneys join Barnes & Thornburg’s vibrant Atlanta office, which has grown by more than 200% in six years, and includes a well-established real estate team.

Henson structures equity investments, joint ventures and fund formations across multifamily, industrial, hospitality and mixed-use projects. He regularly counsels sponsors and developers on sophisticated real estate platforms and partnerships. He previously was a partner at an Atlanta-based Am Law 200 firm.

Noice works with clients on acquisitions, development planning, financing, leasing and sales. His prior experience includes roles as a partner at an Atlanta-based Am Law 200 firm and general counsel to a commercial developer.

Henson earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.B.A. in finance from the University of Georgia. Noice also earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.S.B.A. in finance from the University of Florida.
