Building Momentum: Office Anniversaries Mark a Decade of Growth
Reflecting on strategic moves in Nashville, Dallas, New York, Morristown and Philadelphia

In a testament to both our staying power and our penchant for strategic growth, B&T recently marked key anniversaries in several offices. The firm celebrated two years in Nashville, five in New York and a decade in Dallas.
From cutting cake with colleagues in Nashville to enjoying the Manhattan skyline with clients, our festivities reflected the energy of these offices within the culture we’ve built firmwide. Beyond the celebrations, these anniversaries mark something bigger: a decade of strategic expansion, intentional investment and another year of strong performance.
Growth that Moves Markets
In just two years, our Nashville office has tripled — a testament to both the city’s dynamic growth and our entry into its robust sports and entertainment sector. The recent arrival of Timothy J. Browne, a veteran of the NBA’s legal department and trusted advisor to major league franchises, brings the kind of market credibility and industry reach that continue to define our approach.
“Nashville has become a hub for both sports and entertainment, and Tim’s experience and connections in these areas are pivotal to our continued office growth.” — Jay H. Knight, partner-in-charge of the Nashville office
Meanwhile, in New York — one of the world’s most competitive and sophisticated legal markets — we’ve grown our attorney headcount by 200 percent over the past five years, establishing the firm as a presence in the private funds and corporate landscape.
“Our growth in New York stems from a clear strategy: build a high-caliber team that can meet the demands of this dynamic market and our clients’ evolving needs.” — Rob Boller, partner-in-charge of the New York office
In Dallas, what began as a small outpost has grown to five times the size in the last decade, evolving into a cornerstone of our national presence. Recent additions like Kelly E. Brilleaux, a seasoned litigator with extensive product liability and mass tort experience, continue to sharpen our capabilities and extend our reach.
“Over the past decade, we’ve built a team of world-class attorneys doing sophisticated work for clients across the country in corporate, litigation, real estate and IP. That growth didn’t happen by accident — it’s the result of our collective vision, entrepreneurial culture and relentless focus on relationships. We’re proud of what we’ve built, and we’re just getting started.” — Thomas Haskins, Dallas managing partner
New Dallas additions like M&A and private equity partner Brian T. Robertson fuel the depth, breadth and sophistication of our growing corporate practice.
“Brian’s arrival strengthened our national private equity and M&A capabilities at a time when clients are navigating tighter timelines and heightened competition.” — Jahan Sharifi, Corporate department chair
In addition to the key milestones in Nashville, New York and Dallas, the upcoming three-year anniversaries of our Philadelphia and Morristown, New Jersey offices also reflect our commitment to go and grow where our clients need us. These offices have become integral to our national platform, and with recent additions and more on the horizon, they’re helping shape our next phase of strategic growth along the East Coast. That momentum is guided in part by the leadership of Michael Zogby — recently named Office Managing Partner of the Year by the New Jersey Law Journal.
“Both New Jersey and Philadelphia have proven to be a natural fit for our firm. With strong talent and deep ties to key industries and important clients, these offices are helping us drive the next chapter of our national platform. These are two locations where it is important to have the right people on the team who know the courts and the judges, effectively representing our valued clients, and our growth strategy has achieved that goal.” — Michael C. Zogby, partner-in-charge of the New Jersey and Philadelphia offices.
One of the latest to join is Vineet “Vinny” Gauri, a former federal prosecutor with nearly two decades of experience leading high-stakes enforcement matters. Based in Philadelphia, Vinny brings significant depth in intellectual property, cybersecurity, investigations and white-collar defense, including as Deputy Criminal Chief for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and head of its National Security and Cybercrime Section.
“Vinny’s experience will be invaluable to clients facing growing litigation and investigations challenges. He brings a rare blend of courtroom savvy, subject-matter depth, and leadership that strengthens our ability to guide clients through their most sensitive matters.” — Randy Brown, chair of the Litigation department
That same forward-looking focus on talent is reflected in the recent arrival of Joseph Tate to our Philadelphia office, who now leads B&T’s eDiscovery team as part of our nationally recognized Legal Operations function. Joe brings nearly 30 years of experience building and scaling high-performing litigation support teams, including leadership roles at Am Law 100 firms, the federal government and an alternative legal service provider. His work at the intersection of AI, analytics and litigation strategy enhances our ability to deliver clients defensible, tech-forward solutions across their matters.
“Amidst the changing technological, business and legal landscapes, Joe’s experience and innovative approach will be central to enhancing our capabilities and delivering even better results for our clients.” — Jared Applegate, Chief Legal Operations Officer
Talent that Raises the Bar
We’ve made bold moves for new talent — 30 new attorneys in 2025 — along with several strategic C-suite and director hires, to deepen our capabilities in areas where client demand and market opportunity intersect. From private equity and complex litigation to entertainment, media and sports, we continue to recruit and welcome proven leaders who add depth, agility and industry insight to benefit our clients.
That investment in talent is delivering results. We secured 13 new practice rankings and 11 new individual rankings in the latest Chambers USA guide, bringing our total to 36 practices and 85 attorneys ranked across key industries. Twelve of our attorneys and one of our practices also moved up in the rankings, reflecting the strength and momentum of our platform.
