Chanda Miller Elected Board President of Philadelphia VIP
A trusted adviser and partner in Barnes & Thornburg's Philadelphia office, Miller has handled sophisticated multidistrict litigation, coordinated state proceedings, class actions, complex commercial cases, and appeals throughout the country.

Miller started her two-year term as president on January 1, 2025, after serving as chair of the organization’s Strategic Planning Committee. Miller has been a volunteer of VIP for nearly two decades, taking her first name-change case at the beginning of her legal career as a newly hired associate.
Since then, Miller’s impression of the organization hasn’t changed: VIP’s staff is a dedicated, hardworking group of individuals and a terrific resource for volunteers committed to impacting the community and helping those who need assistance navigating the legal system. Although legal work is the center of her service with VIP, as president of the board of directors, Miller ensures the organization has the attorney volunteers, resources and funding needed to support its mission.
A trusted adviser, Miller has handled sophisticated multidistrict litigation, coordinated state proceedings, class actions, complex commercial cases, and appeals throughout the country. Pharmaceutical manufacturers and medical device companies seek Miller’s representation to defend against allegations of failure to warn, design and manufacturing defects, Medicaid fraud, violations of state consumer protection and deceptive trade practice acts, and breach of warranty and common law fraud. Miller has experience in venues nationwide that frequently see several significant MDLs and class actions. She also has experience assessing and mitigating business risk under the Pennsylvania Business Corporation Law when handling sophisticated commercial litigation.
