Sharon Williams: I Am Barnes & Thornburg

I AM...
- A proud mom of two wonderful adult children: Meredith (age 26 / first-year construction and renewable energy lawyer) and Griffin (age 23 / highway construction project manager)
- Obsessed with the game Mahjong! Always ready to crack a smile, dot the details, and bam! Call Mahjong when it counts.
- A classically trained pianist who began lessons at the age of four. Music has always been my first language and one of my earliest passions.
- A native Georgian and have always lived in the Peach State
- An avid reader. I love getting lost in a great book, especially historical fiction, and imagining every scene playing out on the big screen. For me, reading isn’t just relaxing, it’s like directing a movie in my mind. My favorite book of 2025 is The Spoon Stealer by Lesley Crewe.
- A dog mom to Lily, an eight-year-old French bulldog, and Ivy, a two-year-old white lab. Lily’s the boss!
- Happiest in the kitchen flipping through my ever-growing cookbook collection, testing out new recipes, and serving up something delicious for the people I love. Cooking is my creative outlet, and nothing beats watching a table full of friends and family enjoy the results.
- A city-dwelling gardener learning the ropes, one sprout at a time. I plant herbs and veggies with big dreams and a tiny shovel.
- A lifelong lover of games thanks to a family who believed every gathering was better with a little friendly competition. From Canasta and Scrabble to Spades and puzzles, I’m always up for a challenge. I even love chess, though the checkmate usually isn't mine!
- At my happiest near the water, beachside with sandy toes, aboard a boat chasing the breeze, or snorkeling in clear, blue waters
