Taylor Kirklin: I Am Barnes & Thornburg

I AM...
- From a long line of farmers who grew up on a working farm in Johnson County, Indiana. I learned to drive a tractor, hauling grain bins, long before I was old enough for a driver’s license.
- A former assistant U.S. attorney who is grateful to have had the privilege of representing the United States of America in federal court
- Married to my wonderful wife, who I met during our freshman year at the University of Chicago. We’re looking forward to celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next year.
- A huge fan of comedy, especially Monty Python, Mitchell & Webb, Scharpling & Wurster, The Simpsons (the good seasons only), and Norm MacDonald
- A big supporter of libraries who has a long list of favorites, especially the University of Chicago’s Regenstein Library and the amazing Department of Justice library in Washington, D.C.
- A lifelong fan of Indiana University basketball. One of my core childhood memories is seeing Calbert Cheaney set the IU men’s basketball career scoring record at Assembly Hall in 1993.
- Always up for trying new restaurants of any cuisine. Indianapolis has developed a thriving dining scene, but I still miss my favorite restaurants from my time living in New York City and Chicago.
- A lover of vinyl record stores. I can give you the inside scoop on where to find the hidden gems.
- Constantly working on my golf game (it needs it) and enjoy being out on the course with friends
- An animal lover and supporter of animal rescue organizations. Last year, we adopted a senior Welsh Pembroke corgi who needed a home and are enjoying every minute with him.
