A results-driven attorney, Amanda Gallagher is passionate about turning complex challenges into meaningful solutions. Amanda focuses her practice on litigation and dispute resolution. 

Amanda drafts motions and discovery, and assists with witness interviews and trial preparation, as well as with internal investigations and reviews in a variety of contexts.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Amanda served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jane E. Magnus-Stinson of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Indiana. She has experience reviewing cases, dispositions and drafting orders on dispositive and non-dispositive motions covering wide variety of procedural and substantive issues.

Amanda also worked for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation as the deputy general counsel and as deputy attorney general for complex litigation at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.

Originally from Oklahoma City, Amanda is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was recognized with the Gene H. & Jo Ann Sharpe Outstanding Graduating Student Award. During law school, she also received the Outstanding Graduating Student Pro Bono Award, Academic Achievement Award in Corporations, and the Calvert Intraschool Moot Court Competition Outstanding Speaker Award.

Outside of work, Amanda coaches "We the People," an Indiana Bar Foundation instructional program for high, middle, and elementary school students that teaches the history and principles of the American constitutional democracy, at Cathedral High School.
