Prior to joining the firm full-time, Amy was a summer associate in the Delaware office. She also was a law clerk for the National Center for Youth Law (NCYL), where she analyzed case files in discovery, identifying files that support NCYL’s claims. She also analyzed responses to requests for admission to identify valuable evidence, observed depositions, drafted legal memoranda exploring statutes of limitations of potential legal claims, as well as any applicable equitable tolling doctrines.
She further enhanced her skills as an extern with the Office of General Counsel for the District of Columbia Public Schools, as a summer judicial clerk for the Honorable Andrea L. Before entering law school, Amy was the drug court manager for the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas. She also was an executive assistant for Newmark Knight Frank (formerly Newmark Grubb Knight Frank), and a paralegal for MG+M The Law Firm (formerly Manion Gaynor & Manning LLP). She gained deep knowledge about the litigation process and learned how to handle large caseloads.
While an undergraduate, Amy studied abroad at Royal Holloway University of London.
