Anna Bninski is a litigation attorney with a focus on persuasive use of precedent. Anna develops approaches with the goal of effectively advancing client goals over the course of a case and is able to distill sprawling facts and complex law into summaries that are easily understood.

With judicial clerkship experience, Anna offers clients a considerable understanding of the litigation process. She is a skilled researcher and writer and uses these skills to formulate an effective litigation strategy.

After completing law school, Anna served as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. She drafted opinions based on careful legal research and the nuances of the facts, in addition to managing the flow of a wide civil and criminal docket. Anna also assisted the district judge in handling business disputes, constitutional issues, statutory questions and more.

As a summer associate at Barnes & Thornburg prior to joining the firm full time, Anna worked on legal research projects related to shareholder rights, trademarks, insurance contracts, the Erie Doctrine, and client service on an issue of administrative exhaustion.

While in law school, Anna served as vice president of the Domestic Violence Project where she raised funds for a local shelter and reviewed evidence for the district attorney’s office. As a law student, she also worked on behalf of clients facing illegal eviction and wage theft through the Legal Aid Justice Center.
