A partner in the firm’s Corporate Department, Brantley Hawkins focuses his practice on private funds and investment management. He advises fund sponsors, large institutional investors, and financial institutions on fund formation, regulatory compliance, and strategic investments, drawing on experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel at a leading hedge fund manager.

Brantley advises clients on the formation and operation of multimillion- and multibillion-dollar private investment funds. He also advises financial institutions, fund sponsors and other entities on exemptions under the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act. His time as in-house counsel at hedge fund manager Two Sigma Investments LP deepened his understanding of fund operations and regulatory matters.

Beyond his corporate work, Brantley is committed to pro bono advocacy, representing asylum seekers from Honduras and supporting the Promise of Justice Initiative’s efforts to challenge non-unanimous juries. He is also an active member of “1844,” an association of African American lawyers dedicated to advancing representation, mentorship, and collaboration in the legal industry.
