Chris Bayh concentrates in three areas of law: business litigation, government law, and higher education. He helps his clients address virtually all manner of challenges, including complex court cases, regulatory compliance issues, and relationship-building initiatives. Clients value Chris for his passionate advocacy and his use of plain language.
Chris represents clients in complex commercial disputes in federal court, state court, arbitration tribunals, and administrative proceedings. He focuses his representation in federal litigation and in appeals, where he brings the benefit of his experience as a federal appellate law clerk.
Chris practices in government law on behalf of both private and public entities. He advises corporate clients in many areas of government business, such as contractual relationships, regulatory compliance, and investigation and enforcement actions. He also brings and defends constitutional challenges to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Chris serves as vice chair of the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group, where he advises institutions of all sizes. He represents and counsels higher ed clients in diverse areas of law, including civil defense, investigations, enforcement actions, financial responsibility, Title IV student financial aid, and Title IX litigation and compliance. A former Division I student-athlete, Chris also counsels colleges and universities on athletics compliance and best practices.
