Strategic, practical and results-oriented, Corey Bartkus helps clients navigate a wide range of complex labor and employment issues. Corey’s top priority is to obtain a favorable and efficient resolution of disputes in the best interests of his clients. 

Corey supports clients in a variety of labor and employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, disability, unfair labor practice, and wage and hour matters. He works with companies to assess and respond to evolving labor and employment laws and regulations, aiming to minimize risk while supporting business goals. In addition to his litigation practice, Corey advises clients on strategic counseling, internal investigations, and management training.

He has represented numerous employers in all stages of litigation in state and federal court, as well as assisting clients in administrative actions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and similar state and local agencies. 

Before joining Barnes & Thornburg’s Labor and Employment department, Corey practiced law at a large firm in Colorado, where he also focused on defending and advising employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters. His experience working closely with employers across industries informs his practical approach to client service and problem-solving.

Corey's admission to practice in Indiana is currently pending via reciprocity.
