David Yung advises real estate developers and institutional property owners on acquiring, selling, and leasing commercial real estate properties, with a particular focus on retail and mixed-use properties. Applying firsthand experience as in-house counsel with a commercial real estate development company, David provides practical guidance that aligns with business objectives.
David counsels clients on real estate acquisitions, development, financing, construction, leasing, management, and sales. He represents the owners of retail, office, and industrial properties nationally and also handles complex mixed-use subdivision and easement matters.
Commercial leasing is central to David’s practice. Negotiating leases with many well-known national retailers, his work is deeply valued by clients because he maintains a keen awareness for addressing important business issues in negotiations while making sure properties remain financeable and saleable in the future. David also has extensive experience in retail development, including converting vacant properties into retail strip centers and structuring mixed-use developments. He also assists lenders and borrowers with real estate financing, foreclosures and workouts.
David takes pride in his ability to work collaboratively with his clients and collegially with his peers to complete deals while protecting his client's interests.
