Elise is a skilled litigator recognized for her keen analytical skills, quick-thinking, and thorough preparation. As an advocate, Elise expertly guides clients through the Delaware court system and handles a wide variety of civil actions for clients operating in the corporate, commercial, professional services, and government sectors. Drawing from her trial and appellate background, she approaches each case with an advocate’s precision and a strategist’s foresight — particularly when navigating fast-moving or high-stakes policy environments.  

As a neutral hearing officer, Elise conducts evidentiary hearings for the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation, approaching each matter with an open mind and providing the parties and counsel with a comfortable space to feel heard. She quickly grasps nuanced legal issues and streamlines the evidence in an effort to reach a fair and efficient resolution. Elise strives to ensure impartiality not only in the process, but also in the result through reasoned decision-making reflected in written recommendations the parties can easily understand.

Earlier in her career, Elise built a strong litigation foundation representing clients in complex commercial and corporate disputes in Delaware. She has more than a thousand appearances in Delaware courts and has litigated cases to verdict — both jury and bench trials — at every trial-level court in the State. Elise is well-versed in practicing before the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division (CCLD), the Delaware Chancery Court, and the Delaware Supreme Court. Her early work as a criminal trial attorney provided extensive courtroom exposure, sharpening her ability to think on her feet and communicate persuasively. Elise now brings that concentrated, hands-on experience to each dispute, leading to more favorable results for her clients.

Elise also remains committed to public service through her pro bono efforts, including serving as a guardian ad litem for Delaware’s Office of the Child Advocate and participating in expungement clinics hosted by Clean Slate Delaware.
