Emily represents clients in a variety of litigation matters, drawing on strong analytical skills and a steady, client-centered approach. She handles multiple stages of litigation, from written discovery and depositions to briefing dispositive motions, aligning legal strategy with her clients’ broader goals.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Emily practiced in the litigation group at a large law firm in Chicago and then represented nonprofit clients at a law firm in Michigan. She has a broad range of experience in complex commercial disputes and government investigations. Emily previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Steven C. Seeger of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. While in law school, she was an articles editor for the Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology and a Civil Procedure teaching assistant.
