Gerald focused his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, product liability, copyright and trademark infringement, misappropriation of right of publicity, and representing Chinese companies in U.S. Courts.

Gerald defended and prosecuted complex contracts. He successfully litigated enforcement of long-term 100 percent requirements contracts valued in excess of $400 million, and conducted international commercial arbitration in Singapore under LCIA authority and UNCITRAL rules.

Gerald's representation included the defense of automobiles, residential, industrial and agricultural products in catastrophic injury and death cases.

Gerald's representation included nationally recognized industrial and consumer product manufacturers, entertainment companies and a famous truck rental company in IP infringement and misappropriation of right of publicity cases. Gerald served for seven years on the board of directors of a famous brand NYSE listed videogame publisher and on the board of a closely held videogame studio and publisher acquired in an MBO from a famous Japan-based gaming and entertainment company.

Gerald's practice included the representation of Chinese companies in federal and state courts in the U.S. His litigation experience included:

• Representation of a Chinese technology company in suit in the U.S. against a European patent licensor. The suit sought recovery of double royalty payments improperly collected by the European licensor for over a decade. The patent at issue related to hard disk drive technology.
• Defended a Chinese OEM of after-market automobile amplifiers in a commercial dispute brought by a US distributor alleging that the defendant supplied defective products. This case was governed by the United Nations Convention for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
