Leading the firm’s national eDiscovery and Knowledge Management practice, Jennifer Tudor Wright is a strategic litigator who is an important and valuable asset to in-house legal departments, as well as other law firms and eDiscovery service providers jointly representing clients. Jennifer leverages emerging technologies and her vast experience with data management to help businesses navigate complex discovery and information governance issues. She also serves as the primary legal hold adviser to a wide range of companies, including those in the Fortune 100.
Jennifer has remarkably set herself apart in an extremely dynamic and legal technology-focused area of practice – legal hold/preservation, discovery and information governance. In this unique area of law that changes quickly, clients look to Jennifer for best practices based on experience, especially when the courts have not yet provided guidance on the topic. Jennifer is known for her intentional initiative to remain current in the industry, making her invaluable for clients seeking guidance.
Notably, she was appointed by the Indiana Supreme Court to serve on the Innovation Initiative Civil Litigation Task Force (eDiscovery-focused), an honor achieved by few in the state. She also served as a contributing editor for the Sedona Conference’s commentary on legal holds, a leading authority on legal hold management.
Managing complex discovery in high-profile single plaintiff, multiparty and MDL contexts, Jennifer is instrumental in advising clients on legal hold implementation and ongoing management, developing preservation strategies incorporating IT and HR functions, selecting and managing vendors, identifying and forensically collecting custodial and noncustodial data, training, overseeing and conducting quality control of large and diverse review teams, aiding in validation and production, and coordinating nonparty discovery.
Jennifer also works with corporate executives to build and manage comprehensive information governance programs, including implementing and managing matter-specific legal holds, as well as overhauling and updating legal hold programs, developing tailored record retention policies and schedules, hosting information governance related training and advising on defensible disposition.
In addition, Jennifer assists clients with data transitions for acquisitions and divestitures. She provides advice on disposition of data between the companies in order to meet each company’s business and retention needs. Jennifer prides herself on compliant, yet feasible, information governance compliance strategies.
