Environmental lawyer John Kyle had nearly four decades of experience in resolving even the most challenging remediations. Clients valued John for his ability to provide comprehensive legal counsel and advocacy that fitted their needs while working with environmental and government professionals, and for creating the synergy needed to design and sell a solution that is cost-effective and efficient.
John focused on remediation projects dealing with soil, groundwater and surface water contamination under a wide variety of regulatory programs, Brownfields redevelopment projects, and business transactions involving environmental issues. He also advised on solid and hazardous waste regulatory matters, as well as insurance coverage issues for environmentally impaired property.
In addition, John’s work included business and compliance counseling, voluntary cleanups, assisting in the development of risk-based approaches to cleanups, litigation before state and federal courts and agencies, and legislative and executive branch lobbying.
He served as counsel to Superfund steering committees and trusts and acted for nearly 10 years as a Superfund site trustee. John also devoted a large part of his practice to helping businesses plan expansions that minimize siting, permitting and regulatory issues.
John was a frequent writer and lecturer to trade association, client and continuing education seminars.
