My summer associate experience was truly a time of professional growth. I learned more about the day-to-day work involved in corporate law through my experience as a summer associate than I had in law school. I was given tasks that were not merely busy work, but rather the work of a first-year associate. I connected in a significant way with the corporate attorneys that are now my colleagues. They were more than willing to provide instruction before giving assignments, as well as feedback after I submitted the work product. Above all, they were genuine in their desire to help me grow and learn. Overall, the summer associate program had a significant impact in allowing me to hit the ground running as a full-time associate.
