A detail-oriented litigator and dedicated team player, Jordan Ollestad focuses her practice on product liability and mass torts litigation, specifically the defense of drug and medical device manufacturers and retailers.
Jordan has experience in high-stakes multi-district litigation, class actions, and proceedings in various state and federal jurisdictions. Jordan is actively involved in virtually all phases of pre-trial litigation and trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, e-discovery and document review, depositions, fact and expert discovery, and trial. In addition to product liability matters, she also has represented clients on matters relating to consumer fraud, breach of contract, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Jordan was an associate in the New York office of an international law firm, where she practiced in product liability and complex commercial litigation. Prior to law school, Jordan was a litigation paralegal for several years and organized multiple major cases as a part of a product liability legal team, including preparing for and attending multiple bellwether trials in federal court.
With an active pro bono practice, Jordan represents clients seeking asylum and claiming disability discrimination, and has assisted in preparing a federal habeas petition for a client facing the death penalty.
