Building on this foundation, Karinton assists litigation teams with research, drafting, and case preparation, ensuring arguments are clear and well-supported. She is skilled at reviewing complex information and translating it into actionable insights that advance client matters. Her attention to detail and strong legal writing skills allow her to contribute meaningfully to all stages of litigation.
Before joining Barnes & Thornburg as an associate, Karinton spent two summers with the firm as a summer associate, where she collaborated across offices on a variety of litigation matters. She also gained valuable experience in government, nonprofit, and academic settings, including conducting legislative research as a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation intern and supporting program development at Washington University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion. As a research assistant and student leader, she refined her ability to analyze legal issues, communicate effectively, and lead with integrity.
Karinton’s background reflects her dedication to both advocacy and service. She has been recognized as a Washington University Scholar in Law, earned high honors during her undergraduate studies, and received the Truist Leadership Institute Emerging Leaders Award. Her commitment to leadership extends beyond academics through her service as Secretary of the Black Law Students Association and her membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. These experiences underscore her commitment to supporting communities and excelling in the legal profession.
