As a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s Los Angeles office, Kendra Lounsberry focuses on the resolution of products liability and mass tort litigation matters, from advising on pre-litigation strategies, to settlement of high-stakes one-off lawsuits, to managing global resolutions of thousands of coordinated cases. 

Kendra specializes in the strategic resolution of complex litigation matters—whether it's a high-stakes mass tort case with thousands of plaintiffs or a difficult multi-defendant dispute, Kendra has the expertise and experience needed to achieve a favorable outcome for her clients. With a focus on negotiating and mediating cases to reach workable solutions, Kendra is dedicated to providing clients with personalized and effective legal representation.

With substantial experience in mass tort and complex litigations, Kendra is proficient with all stages of litigation from inception through trial and post-trial appeals. She has been involved in the defense and/or settlement of several multi-district litigations and coordinated state proceedings, where she focuses on providing clients with data-backed strategies regarding whether and how to reach and implement large-scale and/or global litigation settlements. Kendra is a problem-solver and takes pride in her ability to develop creative solutions and assist her clients in mitigating and overcoming the issues posed by the mass tort industry.

In the last 5 years, Kendra managed the negotiation and resolution administration of tens of thousands of cases and claims across multiple product liability mass torts, including those involving prescription diabetes medication, anti-psychotic medication, orthopedic implants, surgical tools and devices, and consumer products including talc-based powders.

Kendra also handles all aspects of California Proposition 65 matters, including advising on compliance for clients, defense of litigated cases, and negotiating out-of-court settlements and court-approved consent judgments involving Prop 65 notices.
