A detail-oriented and strategic thinker, Lucy Bertino represents and advises employers on complex labor and employment matters. With prior in-house experience, Lucy advises clients on compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements, federal and state employment laws, and wage and hour laws.
Lucy also advises employers on internal investigations and compliance with company policies to ensure consistent practice. She works with clients to provide advice arising from day-to-day human resources and employee relations issues, disciplinary and performance counseling, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence, termination decisions, and employee classifications. Lucy also has experience drafting and revising company handbooks, policies, and procedures.
In addition to her counseling practice, Lucy has experience defending clients in labor and employment litigation. She has represented employers facing harassment, discrimination, retaliation, trade secret, and wage and hour claims. Lucy has worked with clients in a wide array of industries, including entertainment, manufacturing, hospitality, and healthcare.
Lucy’s experience extends to the labor relations space. Lucy has negotiated collective bargaining agreements, represented employers in grievances and arbitrations, and advised companies on unionization efforts.
