Samantha Peters is a litigator who maintains a practice focused on product liability defense, wrongful death defense, and commercial litigation. She represents the interests of individuals and institutions in state and federal court litigation across New England.

Samantha defends companies in high-exposure product manufacturing and design defect suits arising out of pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, and consumer products. She also represents companies and individuals in a variety of commercial litigation.

Notably, Samantha’s practice also involves managing large-scale electronic document review projects, including investigating sources and locations of electronically stored information (ESI), coordinating ESI collection efforts, evaluating and use of e-discovery review platforms, and supervising teams of contracted document review attorneys. 

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Samantha practiced in the Boston office of a large national firm in the areas of general liability, professional liability, product liability, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage. 

Samantha is actively involved in pro bono work, including the representation of indigent attorneys in Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers disciplinary proceedings.
