Sophia Vander Kooy is dedicated to zealously advocating for her clients while providing a practical approach that comports with their litigation objectives. Due to her experience in the public interest sector, Sophia is a compassionate leader and a dedicated problem-solver.
Sophia is valued for her analytical thinking, writing and research skills. She works on written discovery, creating and maintaining client files, drafting briefs, motions, and memoranda.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Sophia worked as a summer associate at Barnes & Thornburg. Sophia also gained experience as a law student during internships with the Honorable Ann Meinster of the First Judicial District Court of Colorado and the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office. She also was a student attorney at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law’s Civil Litigation Clinic
At Hope College, Sophia competed on the varsity cross country and track and field teams.
