Basic Export Controls - ITAR, EAR and Sanctions
This session will address export jurisdiction and classification for defense and “dual use” items; COTS export control concerns; license requirements, exemptions, and exceptions; deemed exports and employment practices; ITAR registration and compliance programs; screening transactions, red flags; and violations, disclosures, and enforcement. The training will include case studies and exercises to apply the course’s concepts while introducing more advanced concepts to learn about current developments.

Advanced Export Controls - ITAR and EAR
This session will address Russia- and China-specific controls; commodity jurisdiction and "specially designed" analysis; EAR Military End Use/User rules; Controlled technical data, deemed exports, and encryption; EAR de minimis and foreign direct product rules; U.S. sanctions screening and M&A due diligence; and voluntary disclosure and compliance best practices. This advanced training will ensure participants are well-versed in U.S. export controls with practical exercises and content addressing recent developments and more complex issues.
